Charities on the Scottish register

Charities in Scotland register with the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) and have a charity number starting with SC. Google for Nonprofits verifies your charity before you can apply for up to $10,000 a month in free Google Search ads, and your registration is part of that check.

Our Google Ad Grants management takes you from verification to a running account.

Getting in touch from Scotland

Our charity contact form includes Scotland as a registration option, so you can tell us you are registered with OSCR when you get in touch. We then check your eligibility as part of the free audit.

Our offices are in Dublin and London, and the process is the same wherever you are: a free audit, a 90-day roadmap, the build, then monthly reports on donations and sign-ups. Read more about Mindwave for Good.

Keeping your grant healthy

Google can deactivate an Ad Grants account that breaks its rules. One risk is an account click-through rate below 5% for two months. Single-word keywords and broken conversion tracking cause problems too.

If your account has already been suspended, our suspended Ad Grant rescue service is a fixed one-off fee, waived if you stay with us for ongoing management.

Some of our
charity partners

Native woodland in autumn, seen from above

Hometree establish and conserve permanent native woodland in Ireland through afforestation, restoration and education. Their work is patient, long term and grounded in stewardship.

We're building their Google Ad Grants account from the ground up, and we're Restoration Members too. A share of what our business earns goes straight into their rewilding projects and grows as we do: a modest patch of ground for now, with plans for something you could get properly lost in.

Dublin city centre and the River Liffey at dusk, seen from above

Dublin Simon Community has stood beside people experiencing homelessness in Dublin and the surrounding counties for decades. We're proud to work with them, and honoured to play a small part.

We're supporting DSC across their digital activity, from Google Ads and search to donor email, so they can see what's driving support.

Common questions

Do we need an SC charity number to apply for Google Ad Grants?

Scottish charities are registered with OSCR and have an SC number, and Google for Nonprofits needs to verify your charity before you can apply. If you are not sure whether your organisation qualifies, we will check as part of the free audit.

Our Ad Grant has been suspended. Can you help?

Yes. Grant rescue is a fixed one-off fee to find what went wrong and bring the account back in line with Google's rules. The fee is waived if you join us for ongoing management.

Can you work with our existing donor database?

Yes. We work on the CRM or email platform you already use, so there is no system to change. We sign a data processing agreement before we touch any donor data. One of our co-founders spent years at Klaviyo.

How do you report results?

Every month, on donations and sign-ups rather than clicks. Working conversion tracking is part of every account we run, and it is also one of Google's rules for the grant.
